Ever wonder why Maineville has that extra "e" in its name? What are the ghost towns of the Little Miami district?

Third graders at Salem Twp. Elementary can answer those questions thanks to the projects they completed as part of the school's recent Third Grade Museum Night.

Students created a local history museum with information about many local towns and the transportation that led to the development of some villages and the disappearance of others. The museum is presented by Mrs. Horton's project based learning class.

And just for the record, Maineville was named for the home state of its first settlers.
