Is there a Little Miami teacher who has made a positive impact on you or a student you know? Do you know a teacher who goes above what it is expected and strives to make each of his or her students achieve at the highest level?

If so, nominate that teacher for Project Excellence, a program that aims to identify exceptional educators who demonstrate excellence in instruction or innovative teachers who have pioneered a teaching method.

Project Excellence, sponsored by the Area Progress Council of Warren County, annually honors public school teachers in Warren County who demonstrate consistency and high commitment to education, who focus on raising the bar for all students and who are seen by others as genuine, authentic and sincere. Winners receive a cash award and are recognized at a banquet in May.

Last year's Project Excellence winners for Little Miami were Tabitha Smith, band teacher at Little Miami High School, and Jamie Jackson, third grade teacher at Salem Township Elementary.

To nominate a Little Miami teacher, download the form from the Area Progress Council's website. Forms are due by Friday, Feb. 23.
