Mercy Health Cincinnati will open its fifth school-based health center at Little Miami School District’s Intermediate School this school year.

Construction is set to be complete on Aug. 3 and the center will start seeing patients on Aug. 13. The health center has three full exam rooms and will employ a full-time nurse practitioner and medical assistant to start. Available services will include primary care, prescriptions, immunizations, counseling and mental health evaluations and more. The health center will be open year-round from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays to serve residents of all ages by appointment and on a walk-in basis. Schedule an appointment by calling (513) 981-2222.

The Little Miami center joins Mercy Health’s school-based health centers located at Sayler Park School, Mt. Washington School, Silverton Paideia Academy and Pleasant Hill Academy.

The Little Miami Intermediate School health center will celebrate its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and community open house from 8-10 a.m. on Friday, August 10. Guests can tour the center, enjoy refreshments and face painting, meet the nurse practitioner and learn about available services.

"Children who don't feel well, don't learn well and end up missing school, which can impact their progress. Mercy Health’s school-based health centers treat kids on the spot, which helps minimize the impact of illness so that students can return to class and focus on learning," said Greg Power, Superintendent, Little Miami School District.
