Updated COVID-19 Guidance
Good afternoon Panther Families,
As we continue moving forward through the ever-present changes and challenges that accompany living with COVID-19, we thank you for your cooperation and ask for your continued patience and support as we adjust to the latest guidelines.
The purpose of this communication is to inform our families about new guidelines surrounding the close contact tracing process. As of January 26th, 2022, the Ohio Department of Health has updated the requirements of schools and they no longer require us to contact trace. The requirements of Little Miami will turn into a completely supportive role to help parents and students proactively fight against COVID-19. We will also help our students understand how to “live with COVID-19” and be respectful of those that still wish to enact certain protective measures. Here are a few things you need to know as we move forward:
Exposure Risk
Similar to going to the grocery store, attending an athletic contest, or participating in a family function we are all at risk of being exposed to COVID-19. As we move forward, we state with certainty that attending school allows for a similar exposure possibility as the examples above. As we have done in the past, there may be a time where a large number of cases would cause us to adjust our approach.
Continued Isolation Requirements for COVID Positive Students
COVID-19 positive isolation requirements are still in place at this time. Please reference the following document for help with isolation procedures. We also have numerous informative COVID-19 items, including testing information, on our website. Please visit LittleMiamiSchools.com and click on the “COVID-19 Headquarters” quick link.
Please continue to monitor your child’s symptoms, help them to practice good hygiene procedures, and please keep them home if they are sick. The Little Miami Nursing Team will continue to support our staff, students, and parents with information to help during this transition back to a new level of normalcy.
If you have COVID-19 questions regarding isolations and quarantines, please email Little Miami’s new Warren County Educational Services Center Nurse, Sheila Edwards at [email protected].
