How devices are identified
Posted on: May 11, 2017
All the devices are the same and look alike. However, each device will be tagged with a card with the student’s name. Additionally, district asset tags with bar codes will be on each device and each device has a serial number. If a device is misplaced and these identifying marks have not been tampered with, the device and the student user can be reunited.
Any ID stickers that are on the device when issued must stay on the device. Additional permanent markings of any kind (stickers, permanent ink, tape, etc.) are permitted only on the protective cover. While the devices are issued to students, they are still district-owned property. Markings on the device will be considered vandalism and subject to possible disciplinary action.
