While we are winding down this school year, we are already so excited about the next! Next school year will see two new Principals – Mrs. Amber Humber at Little Miami Primary School and Dr. Kevin Harleman at Little Miami High School!

Mrs. Amber Huber began her teaching career with Little Miami in 2010 after graduating from Miami University. Mrs. Huber has a heart designed for the leadership of our young learners, as she has significant experience working in the classroom as an Intervention Specialist, and later serving as the Special Education Coordinator, supporting the Special Education program throughout the district. For the past two years, Mrs. Huber has had the opportunity to work as Assistant Principal of Little Miami Primary School, under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Jamie Miles.

Mrs. Huber proudly lives in the Little Miami school district with her husband, David, and three wonderful daughters. Mrs. Huber says “It is such a rewarding experience to be able to come to work each day to care for and serve the children of our community. I truly enjoy helping them feel safe, happy, and excited to be in our building each day!” Mrs. Huber will begin her journey as LMPR Principal on July 1, 2023.

Dr. Kevin Harleman has had a distinguished career in education, as he has extensive experience in the classroom as an Intervention Specialist at both the middle school and high school levels, and unique administrative experience as the former Principal of the John Lazares Alternative School, where he spent 6 years. Little Miami High School has been lucky enough to have Dr. Harleman serving as Assistant Principal for two years, where he has built trusted relationships with both students and staff members.

Prior to entering the classroom, Dr. Harleman earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Education from Wright State University, his Masters in Education in Educational Leadership from Regis University, and holds a Doctorate degree from Northcentral University with a focus on Exceptional Student Education.

When he is not guiding students toward success in the classroom, Dr. Harleman enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, their six children, and three grandchildren and coaching baseball. Dr. Harleman will become Principal of LMHS on July 1, 2023.

We are confident that Mrs. Huber’s & Dr. Harleman’s leadership qualities, experience and desire to positively impact our Panther students and staff will bring much success to our buildings this next school year! What an exciting time to be a Panther!
