Congratulations to the Class of 2021
On Sunday, May 23, the Little Miami High School Class of 2021 crossed the stage at Wright State University’s Nutter Center and accepted their diplomas.
This year’s graduating class of 347 garnered more than $33,000 in scholarships from local organizations, and several million dollars in academic scholarship offers from institutions of higher learning.
The Valedictorian of this year’s class was Owen Preisler. The Salutatorian was Tori Gilton.
Ninety students graduated with honors. This graduating class also had one National Merit Finalist and 152 students were awarded the Lamp of Knowledge for maintaining a 3.75 GPA throughout the four years of their high school careers.
Twelve students were members of the National Technical Honor Society and 17 were members of the French National Honor Society.
Class President Molly Hugenberg, and seniors Emma Wells and Jacob Schepmann spoke during the ceremony.
Eleven students earned the Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal from the Ohio Department of Education, recognizing a student’s reliability, work ethic, discipline, punctuality and ability to work as a team.
Four students maintained perfect attendance through four years of high school: Taylor Nicholas, Thanna Price, Jakob Sanders, Jacob Smearsoll.
