Duke Energy Gas Line Improvement Project
Dear Little Miami Families,
As you may be aware, Duke Energy began work on a natural gas line improvement project in our area back in February of this year. This project will impact several roads near our school campuses, including Stephens Road, Zoar Road, Morrow-Cozaddale Road, State Route 22 & 3.
We do not expect disruptions to daily operations at Little Miami Primary School and the High School/Middle School campus. While some construction will take place near school properties, including along Stephens Road and Morrow-Cozaddale Road, the contractor is working to maintain a smooth traffic flow throughout the project.
Please note the following key information:
- Digging near Primary School (Stephens & Zoar Roads): Late April through May
- Work along Morrow-Cozaddale (near HS/MS): June–July (expect one-lane traffic)
- Project Completion Goal: August 1
- Final Testing/Commissioning: Week of August 4
- Project Close-Out: Early September (pending weather or unforeseen delays)
We encourage all families to use extra caution in construction zones, allow additional travel time, and slow down when driving near work areas, especially during drop-off and pick-up times.
