Little Miami School District Achieves High Marks for Transportation Efficiency
The Little Miami School District is committed to providing the best education for our students. One such pillar of excellence is an efficient transportation department. Every school district in Ohio receives an efficiency ratio. A score of 1.0 is deemed average and a score of 1.5 is considered exceptional. The Little Miami School District received a score of 1.45.
Each year, the Ohio Department of Education sets a target number of qualifying riders per assigned bus for each school district. This target is based on the most recent data and reflects the statewide median number of riders, adjusted for each district's density compared to others. The target numbers and methodology are posted on the department's website. Then, a district's efficiency index is determined by dividing the number of riders per assigned bus by the district's target number of riders per assigned bus.
