Safety Week at LM Dec. 6-10
Little Miami Local Schools will be engaging in a “Safety Week” next week, December 6-10, to conduct state-required emergency exercises to ensure students & staff are aware of and prepared for how to respond in case of an emergency at school. Little Miami is coordinating with public safety agencies from Hamilton Township, Morrow, and Salem Township to conduct these exercises, so please be aware that you will likely see multiple public safety vehicles and personnel on our campuses next week.
Students at each building will reviewing and engaging in lockdown and/or evacuation procedures and will have the opportunity to discuss additional emergency scenarios with their teachers. To encourage positive safety learning experiences during this week, Little Miami has invited local public safety agencies, including police, fire, and Warren County Emergency Management to discuss emergency preparedness and spend time interacting with our students. The goal of the 2021 Safety Week is not only to ensure staff & students are aware of safety procedures at school, but also for students to build relationships with public safety personnel that will hopefully be remembered for years to come!
