Miracle represents LM at regional spelling bee
Little Miami Intermediate sixth grader Jack Miracle was the first LM student in many years to represent the district at the recent 2018 WCPO/Scripps Regional Spelling Bee.
Miracle made it through the first three rounds of competition on March 17, only to be eliminated when asked to spell “mukhtar,” an Arabic word meaning the head of the local government of a town.
Miracle reached the regional bee by winning his local spelling bee at Little Miami Intermediate School and by passing a written test. Miracle won the LMIS bee back in February during a nail-biter of a final round, where he and another contestant missed their final words twice. Miracle finally took the victory on the word “facilitate.”
Miracle has a long history of spelling prowess, winning the Salem Twp. Elementary bee both as a third and fourth grader.
