September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

At Little Miami Schools, we stand in support of our students and families facing the challenges of childhood cancer. We honor the bravery of our students who are currently battling or have overcome cancer.
Let's unite as a community to raise awareness, show support, and advocate for continued research by Going Gold!
We encourage everyone to wear a gold ribbon to our next board meeting on Tuesday, September 24th.
Every gesture of kindness and understanding makes a difference.

2023 Little Miami Graduate Jessica Voge shares why Going Gold is important to her!

Hi! I'm Jess Voge, Little Miami graduate class of 2023, and a former cheerleader at LMMS and LMHS. I am also a childhood cancer survivor. I was diagnosed and treated at 12 years old, and almost 8 years later, I am proud to say that I am a cancer survivor.

Going gold is so important because it increases childhood cancer awareness, but it also supports the children who are fighting the fight of their lives. These kids fighting in hospitals are normal kids with abnormal circumstances, and going gold shows them that they are not alone — they have a team behind them!

Going gold also works to increase fundraising and donations for pediatric cancer research, which will help save lives like mine. Throughout my treatment, I was so grateful for my Little Miami community because I knew they had my back and supported me. By going gold, you guys are doing just that for other local patients and kids in the area!
